Every good story needs a hook, and Verge certainly has one with its hubless rear wheel design. They’re leaning into it so much that even the company T-shirts say, “Reinventing the wheel” on the back. But what is the Verge TS, anyway? Verge the company was founded in Finland – which itself is unusual for the motorcycle landscape. Like seemingly all electric motorcycle companies, Verge is hinging on electric propulsion as the way of the future. The company has been selling bikes in Europe for a couple years now, and has just made its way into the US. It’s even opened up two brick and mortar retail showcases – one in Northern California and the other in SoCal. All this in anticipation of the first models landing on this side of the pond by the end of the year.

Last week, Harley-Davidson announced its Q1 2024 results, but tucked away in the numbers was the announcement that LiveWire is moving its operations from California to Milwaukee, joining its parent company at its historic headquarters.

LiveWire officially announced the new S2 Mulholland, its third electric motorcycle and second to make use of the S2 Arrow platform behind the S2 Del Mar. Described as a performance cruiser, the S2 Mulholland is available now at retailers in the U.S. for $15,999, and Canada for CA$21,999.

As we were first to report, Harley-Davidson’s electric brand LiveWire is preparing to launch its next model, to be called the S2 Mulholland, with new teasers confirming the model name and a full reveal to come March 21.

Shipments of the Livewire S2 Del Mar should now be underway, and not a moment too soon, as Harley-Davidson’s electric brand needs to start gaining momentum after a very disappointing 2023. While we wait to see how the brand’s second model does, Motorcycle.com can exclusively report that Livewire’s next model will be called the Mulholland, and it will share the S2 platform introduced on the Del Mar.
