NT1100 Police replaces the discontinued ST1300P

Honda is finally bringing the NT1100 to America, but you won’t be able to buy one. Well, not unless you’re in charge of procuring fleet vehicles for law enforcement agencies. Yes, that’s right, the Africa Twin-based sport-tourer will be coming to the U.S. exclusively as the NT1100 Police, replacing the ST1300 as Honda’s law enforcement model.

"U.S. motorcycle units and motor officers understand the benefits that two-wheel vehicles can offer over automobiles, and we're pleased to provide a brand-new option for their fleets," said Colin Miller, Manager of Public Relations at American Honda. "One of the main advantages of a police motorcycle is maneuverability, and the NT1100 Police is unmatched in that area. It also boasts Honda's legendary reliability and value – attributes that were proven with law-enforcement agencies in the past, with the police version of the ST1300. Thanks to its light weight, nimble handling and exceptional value, the NT1100 Police promises to be a popular choice among U.S. motorcycle units."

The NT1100 Police is based on the European model that was recently updated for 2025. It is powered by the Africa Twin’s 1,084cc Unicam Parallel-Twin engine, and only as a manual transmission model and not the DCT option available in Europe. The NT1100 Police offers three preset ride modes (Urban, Rain, and Tour) plus two customizable modes, while a six-axis IMU supports lean sensitive traction control (Honda Selectable Torque Control), ABS, wheelie control, and rear lift control.

The suspension system consists of a 43mm Showa SFF-BP fork with adjustable spring preload, and a Pro-Link preload-adjustable rear shock, similar to the non-DCT NT1100 model in Europe (the DCT model offers an option of electronic suspension). Suspension travel is 4.9 inches up front and 5.5 inches at the rear, which is less than the 5.9 inches front and rear offered on the civilian model.

The NT1100 Police comes standard with a center stand, a Skyrich HJ13L lithium-ion battery, self-cancelling turn signals, panniers, pannier guards, engine guards, a document box, a seat cowl, and a wiring harness for various electronic accessories. Approved vendors will offer additional components to meet individual fleet requirements.

The 2025 Honda NT1100 Police will only be available in white, and ordered through Honda’s Powersports Fleet/Government Purchase Program for $14,499.

Ok, does the reduced travel mean a lower ride height for lots of urban stop and go riding. If so it looks even more attractive to me now than it ever did. I'd also love to have the capability of extra lights and gadgets so a few years down the road these may be worth buying at the auction.
