Indian Springfield Elite Confirmed for 2025

Meanwhile, select markets get a final edition Springfield
Indian announced its 2025 Springfield and Springfield Dark Horse a couple of weeks ago, both coming with new colors. What we aren’t getting in North America is a special, final edition version in a two-tone Ivory Cream and Indian Motorcycle Red with Anniversary Gold Metallic highlights, as the Springfield will be leaving several international markets. If you’re worried about missing out on the Springfield Special Edition, Indian may have something else up its sleeve for you: a Springfield Elite.
Motorcycle.com can confirm that an Indian Springfield Elite has been homologated in Australia, and we are likely to see it here in North America as well. Indian has been producing Elite models since 2017, giving them custom paint schemes and premium components and upgrades to separate them from the regular production models. Previous models include the Chieftain Elite, Roadmaster Elite, Challenger Elite, and Roadmaster Elite. That means that the 2025 Indian Springfield Elite would be the first model without a fairing given the custom treatment.
The Springfield Elite is identified by name as well as by its specific model code “THEBB”. As per Indian’s typical code structure, the “T” denotes an air-cooled heavyweight model. The “H” tells us it uses the saddlebag design of the base Springfield and not the more modern-looking bags of the Springfield Dark Horse, which are identified with a “J”. The “E” is reserved for Indian’s Elite models. Finally, the BB at the end identifies the engine as a Thunderstroke 116 and not the 111 version (denoted with “AA”).
The certification data lists the Springfield Elite as having the 19-inch front wheel of the Springfield Dark Horse, but otherwise, it has a similar wheelbase, width, and weight as the regular Springfield. This suggests it will also be equipped with the windscreen, crash bars and larger fenders of the base model.
The filing also includes a note the Springfield Elite will be available with a passenger backrest, which is offered as standard on the Springfield Special Edition.
That’s all the certification data tells us, but we can at least expect an elaborate hand-painted color scheme plus some added accessories.
So far, Indian has only confirmed one Elite model for 2025, the Roadmaster Elite, pictured below with the Springfield Special Edition. It features a Springfield Blue Candy paint, which was another iconic color from Indian’s early history as an alternative to Indian Motorcycle Red. The blue is accompanied by Black Candy and a Black Candy fade over a Silver base coat with Champion Gold striping and headdress tank logo. Along with some chrome-plated finishes, the Roadmaster Elite comes with Indian’s PowerBand Audio with Bass Boost, an adaptive LED headlight, floorboards, passenger armrests and an electronically adjustable windshield.
The certification data doesn’t provide any indication when Indian will announce the Springfield Elite. Indian debuted the 2024 Roadmaster Elite in early February, so it’s possible the Springfield Elite will be revealed around the same time in 2025. Indian has only released a portion of its 2025 lineup, so expect more surprises to come in the next few months.

The absolute ugliest motorcycle in production. I can't believe anybody wants this thing.
I’ll never get over that stupid front freaking fender. Good god man.
