Krämer Motorcycles Debuts 2025 GP2-890 XX Hypernaked

Krämer answers the call for a naked GP2, but exclusivity comes at a price
Krämer Motorcycles is proud to announce the latest addition to its lineup of purpose-built track-focused motorcycles, with the debut of the 2025 Krämer GP2-890 XX hypernaked track bike.
Built for wheelies, not podiums, the Krämer GP2-890 XX focuses on the exhilaration of riding a thoroughbred motorcycle on the race track, rather than shedding every tenth of a second from a lap time. To that ethos, the “Double-X” aesthetic brings an aggressive look to Krämer’s GP2 platform, and it includes a flat handlebar design that provides upright ergonomics that ensure a rider can push their maximum pace all day with less fatigue and more comfort. A limited-quantity production, the 2025 Krämer GP2-890 XX features carbon fiber everywhere, including for its bodywork, air scoops, number plates, and BST Star Tek wheels.
Additionally, a new GP-style titanium exhaust can also debuts on the GP2-890 XX, providing for a rowdy and booming aural experience on the race track. “When we looked around the paddocks we were going to, we noticed that a little over 10% of the motorcycles on track were large-displacement naked models, which is an interesting trend developing in the industry,” explained Jensen Beeler, CEO of Krämer Motorcycles USA.
“Until now, no manufacturer has produced a hypernaked that is focused solely for the race track, even though the demographics are skewing more into this category with each passing year. The Krämer GP2-890 XX aims to give these track riders a more purpose-built motorcycle for this segment of circuit riding, in the same way our other motorcycles have done in their model segments.”
The hooligan nature of the Krämer GP2-890 XX is backed up with race-proven technologies and components, with top-shelf brake components from Brembo, suspension pieces from WP, and electronics from Mectronik. The most exclusive model in the Krämer Motorcycles lineup, the GP2-890 XX will have an extremely limited production run of units. This small batch quantity allows Krämer to offer for the first time a factory customization option, with customers able to pick their frame color and fairing decal design.
“The Krämer GP2-890 XX marks a bit of a departure for the Krämer Motorcycles brand as it is our first hypernaked model without fairings, and it is a bike that is aimed more at track day riders than weekend racers,” said Markus Krämer, CEO of Krämer Motorcycles GmbH.
“The GP2-890 XX also is the first model from Krämer Motorcycles to be part of our new factory customization program, and we plan to grow this program out to our other models in the future.”
Arriving at Krämer dealers in Spring 2025, the Krämer GP2-890 XX is priced at $49,995 in the United States and €50,000 (includes 19% VAT) in European markets. Because of the limited production size, interested customers are encouraged to reserve their purchase immediately.
Engine
The Krämer GP2-890 XX shares the same 889cc parallel-twin KTM-sourced engine platform as its fully-faired “RR” sibling. This means 138hp (101 kW) of power is on tap, with 74 lb•ft (100 Nm) of torque, with air now coming from two giant carbon fiber intake ducts.
Internally, the motor features titanium connecting rods and high-compression pistons from Pankl, titanium valves (intake and exhaust), and a camshaft with racing-focused profiles. Other highlights include CNC machining of the cylinder head ports, a 48mm throttle body, and a new optimized GP-style exhaust pipe with stainless steel headers and a titanium muffler.
Electronics
Showing its racing pedigree, the GP2-890 XX features a Mectronik MKE7 ECU with an integrated six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) that provides traction control and wheelie control parameters, giving even more security to riders who are racing at the limits of tire adhesion.
The Mectronik MKE7 ECU is an open system, meaning that Krämer customers will be able to reprogram and flash the ECU with their own settings, or ones that they download from Krämer and other GP2 owners.
The electronics package on the Krämer GP2-890 XX finishes with an ECU Master ADU 5 dash. The robust five-inch LCD display shows critical motorcycle parameters, and can also generate predictive lap times with its GPS-powered lap timer.
Chassis
The Krämer GP2-890 XX continues Krämer Motorcycles’s use of 25CrMo4 chromoly steel for its trellis-design frame, as the alloy provides the ideal stiffness and torsional rigidity for racing use.
Knowing that every rider is different, adjustment points can be made for the swingarm angle, steering-head angle, triple clamp offset, seat height, and rearset position, all of which makes for a truly customizable motorcycle that fits riders of all sizes and skill levels. The flat handlebar design also adds to the ergonomics of the GP2-890 XX, because the rider is more upright when in their riding position.
Extra attention has been made to the cast aluminum swingarm on the GP2-890 XX, with a progressive linkage featured on the shock mount. Adding more feel at the beginning of the stroke and more support exiting corners, while also reducing pumping effects, the progressive linkage has been race-proven on the Krämer GP2-890 RR in the British Superbike Championship, where Krämer has once again dominated the GP2 class.
Utilizing premium suspension pieces, at the front of the GP2-890 XX, riders will find fully adjustable WP APEX PRO 7543 closed-cartridge forks. At the rear of the machine, there is a matching WP APEX PRO 7746 shock, which features both high-speed and low-speed compression settings, in addition to preload, rebound, and ride-height adjustments.
Reigning-in that power are dual 300mm “T-Floater” rotors, which are mated to Brembo Stylema calipers and a Brembo 19RCS Corsa Corta master cylinder. Meanwhile, at the rear of the bike is a fully floating 230mm rear disc.
Lightweight carbon fiber BST Star Tek wheels complete the chassis package, with a 3.5” x 17” rim at the front, and a 6.0” x 17” rim in the rear. Pirelli Diablo Superbike SC1 slicks are fitted as standard – 120/70 (front) and 180/60 (rear) – with their compound and carcass design best-complimenting the GP2-890 XX chassis philosophy.
Fairing
The fairing, or lack thereof, is a first for Krämer Motorcycles, with the company dipping its toe into the hypernaked track bike category. Built from carbon fiber, the bodywork sheds a considerable amount of weight from the full-fairing design, and follows an aggressive style befitting of a wheelie monster.
Carbon fiber number plates have also been included on either side of the tail section, as well as at the front of the motorcycle, to add to the “Double-X” aesthetic and to accommodate race number rule provisions.
The bodywork ingenuity continues with a hallmark of Krämer design: the fuel cell doubling as the tail section of the motorcycle. 4.2 gallons (16 liters) of fuel can be held in the rotationally molded plastic tank.
Lastly, an integrated rain light finishes the tail section’s shape and design.
Krämer Factory Customization
The 2025 Krämer GP2-890 XX will be the first motorcycle to offer Krämer’s new factory customization program to customers.
Accordingly, GP2-890 XX customers will be able to pick their frame paint color from any shade on the RAL color wheel. Custom decals can also be applied at the factory to the raw carbon fiber bodywork before it is painted with a glossy clear coat.
These customization options are offered for free for all Krämer GP2-890 XX customers, with additional customization options available at an additional cost.
Pricing
Global pricing for the 2025 Krämer GP2-890 XX will be $49,995 for the United States of America, and €50,000 (when including a 19% VAT) for the European markets.
Deliveries to customers worldwide will occur in Spring 2025.
